What family photography means to me.
Growing up a 90's kid, I remember going to JCPenney for family portraits and the pressure of looking perfect, making sure every hair was in place, and how the whole experience never quite felt joyful or true to us.
That’s what shaped the way I approach photography today. When I became a photographer, I knew I wanted something different...not just for myself, but for the families I serve. I wanted to document real life, and real connections. The kind of moments that actually mean something.
When I look back at my childhood, the photos I treasure most aren’t the posed ones, they’re the imperfect, in-between moments. The grainy film images my parents took on a disposable camera....if you remember those. Laughing together, dancing in the living room, just being us. Those are the memories that stayed with me.
Those are the moments I want to create for your families here in Omaha!
